Access to healthcare is of paramount importance, just like access to basic infrastructure or education. Tanger Med Foundation is aware of the importance of this challenge and is committed to improving infrastructure and medical care and supporting disadvantaged populations. It conducts awareness campaigns, finances equipment for health centers, and organizes initiatives to facilitate access to healthcare for the most disadvantaged children and families.
This program, in collaboration with local authorities, associations, and private healthcare providers in Tangier, aims to combat cataracts in the main activity zones of Tanger Med Group, particularly in Fahs Anjra province. This eye disease mainly affects local populations and aims to significantly improve the quality of life of those impacted by this condition. It is during these campaigns that the Foundation helps people in their efforts to obtain access to health coverage. This support includes identifying patients without coverage, referring them to the appropriate services and providing administrative assistance, as well as raising awareness among rural populations about the importance of this mandatory health coverage. Following the diagnostic procedure, those identified receive cataract surgery and medical and administrative support.
In partnership with several associations, Tanger Med Foundation regularly organizes medical-humanitarian mobile campaigns in Fahs Anjra province. With areas dedicated to general and specialized medicine, the mobile clinics offer pediatric, gynecological, and cardiology consultations to disadvantaged populations. It is also an opportunity to offer oral health awareness workshops and dental consultations to the province's residents.
Tanger Med Foundation carries out comprehensive diagnoses, in-depth tests, and personalized adjustments of hearing and vision devices, all under specialized medical supervision. These interventions help improve children's hearing and vision, promoting their well-being and development on a daily basis.
